This is only a ubiquitous Grammys post, we’ll be articulate about some of a bigger names and important performances in particular posts, including a lot of conform stuff. You can see a list of this year’s Grammy winners here – there weren’t that many awards handed out during a telecast, so we competence have missed some of a vital wins. Daft Punk, Lorde Macklemore were a biggest winners of a night. Some highlights from a tangible Grammys telecast (I’ll supplement some videos where possible, though some of these videos competence be pulled):
*Beyonce Jay-Z were all over a Grammys. The Grammys were all about a jubilee of Beyonce and Jay. As it should be, we suppose. Their opening of “Drunk In Love” began a night. we accepted since a producers wanted Bey and Jay to go first, though that opening was not unequivocally suitable for 8 pm. Beyonce’s dress was intensely petty and I’m flattering certain we saw some mons pubis, during slightest one nip-slip and we saw a lot of a cake. Also: when Jay-Z won some award, his acceptance debate was AMAZEBALLS. Everything from “Gold sippy cup” to “I wish to appreciate God a small bit” – it was a masterpiece of speechifying. Also: #surfboard
*Lorde’s opening of “Royals” was an early disappointment. we unequivocally suspicion Lorde was going to blow us divided with her outspoken skills, though a commencement of a strain was too “performance art” (very Franco), and afterwards it only felt like Lorde didn’t unequivocally broach on her promise. It was a common performance.
*Do we wish me to care about Hunter Hayes? we do not. we do not wish him ill or anything, I’m only not feeling him.
*Katy achieved “Dark Horse” that is indeed my favorite strain off Prism (it’s my examination jam). The witchy entertainment was… unequivocally mid-1990s/The Craft. Live performances aren’t unequivocally Katy’s thing, and we indeed giggled when her bust were being burnt during a stake. Classic.
*Robin Thicke Chicago… I favourite a Chicago retrospective, a lot. But suppose this: wouldn’t it have been improved with a vocalist like Michael Buble? Because Robin’s voice sounded kind of weak.
*Gary Clarke Jr. Keith Urban indeed gave one of a nicest twin performances of a night, we thought. Maybe we only unequivocally adore Gary Clarke Jr.
*Taylor Swift’s performance was one a strongest of a night. Yes, we only pronounced that. I’m critical too. Her voice was strong, a entertainment was appreciative and it was believably emotional. Plus, we only adore when she sings about Jake Gyllenhaal.
*Pink’s acrobatic opening was… we don’t know, I’m kind of sleepy of it. we get that a dangling-over-the-stage thing is her shtick now, though it only felt kind of tired. Plus, there were like 3 opposite times where we suspicion she snapped her neck.
*The Kendrick Lamar/Imagine Dragons combo was a lot improved than we was expecting. Seriously.
*Madonna sang “Open Your Heart” along with Macklemore’s opening of “Same Love” while Queen Latifah married a garland of couples in a aisles. It was a mess. It was a disaster mostly since of Madonna’s offensive mask-face.
*So assistance me, we favourite Metallica a Chinese pianist Lang Lang.
*The Trent Reznor performance sounded disorganized. Like, it was only noise.
*Daft Punk + Pharrell Williams + Stevie Wonder = flattering awesome.
So, who gave your collect for best performance? I’m going to be argumentative and contend that while we enjoyed a Kendrick Lamar/Imagine Dragons thing and a Daft Punk/Stevie Wonder thing, we consider Taylor Swift’s opening competence have been my favorite. Seriously.
Photos pleasantness of WENN.
